Course Objectives The general purpose of this course is to provide the students to relate their fashion design discipline knowledge with innovative design, material and production techniques of today and of tomorrow.It is aimed to research and investigate contemporary functional and social clothing needs and conceptualize new design scenarios to fulfill these needs as wearable art formsvor actual functional design solutions.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Recognizes innovative and futuristic textile materials.
  • Learns innovative and futuristic garment assembly techniques.
  • Investigates economic, social and environmental factors which would influence the innovatiove and futuristic developments in the fashion industry.
Course Description By making proposals, to create innovative and futuristic fashion design products by using probable readytowear and garment assembly techniques. To conceptualize new design scenarios which will answer a contemporary functional and social clothing problem as wearable art form or actual functional design solution.
